Dear research network colleagues and friends,
This is a brief note on up-coming events.
- We mentioned in an earlier mail that our research project is involved in Harvey Whitehouse’s European Union project “Explaining Religion”. The website for that project has not yet appeared, but the launch workshop for the project participants will be held in Aarhus, September 17-19, 2007. An introduction to the project will be given to all interested parties on September 17th: www.teo.au.dk/forskning/aktuelt/religion/kalender
- Our staff is expanding, and we will initiate regular seminars for the staff, interested doctoral students, interested master’s students, and colleagues who happen to be in the Aarhus area. The meetings will take place on Tuesday mornings from 10:00-12:00, followed by lunch. A more precise date will follow as soon as possible. See our website on principal staff where you will find information on new names: www.teo.au.dk/forskning/aktuelt/religion/deltagere/principal
- Don’t miss the up-coming conference on “Language in Cognition, Cognition in Language” hosted by the Cognition, Communication and Culture research priority area at the Faculty of Humanities in Aarhus on October 11-13, 2007. See the conference website for information and an impressive line up of keynotes: www.lic.au.dk/index.jsp
- Our own conference for 2008 is in preparation stage. It will be on “Religious Ritual, Cognition and Culture” and will be held in Aarhus around the same dates as our last conference - end of May beginning of June. More information will follow.
We hope to see you all in the near future!
